Banking & fintech · Control who has access

Challenge solved: Identity

Intelyvale

Vouchers and corporate cards

Single sign-on to the voucher portal with a client's corporate account

Who they are
Intelyvale is a Mexican company offering fuel and grocery vouchers and corporate cards for expense control, with its own online platform.
The problem
A corporate client's users entered the portal where their vouchers and cards are managed with a separate username and password, and that client's security team required access to go through their corporate identity.
What changed
Today they enter Intelyvale's voucher portal with their corporate account, in a single step and under their company's security policies; one less password to remember and access controlled by their own security team. Control who has access
Why it was hard
It had to meet a corporation's security requirements without rebuilding the portal, and coordinate testing and go-live with its security team.
The signal
Just over three months from the security requirement to production; the relationship continues.

Retail · Unify your operations and your channels

Challenge solved: Intermediaries

Arteaga Joyería

Silver jewelry and distribution

The cost of silver is updated and the whole catalog is recalculated

The problem
Arteaga manufactures and distributes silver jewelry and sells to its network of distributors and jewelers with several price lists by customer type. The price is built from the cost of silver: when it moved, the whole catalog changed price at once, and a data-entry error didn't show up in the catalog but on the distributor's invoice.
What changed
We replaced the system already in place without losing its business rules: when the cost of silver changes, the system recalculates the price of the whole catalog in all its lists. Every quote and every order keeps the silver price it was sold at, so yesterday's sale stays auditable when silver goes up tomorrow. Each distributor has its own inventory, with authorized transfers, and the team records movements by reading barcodes with the camera. The sale runs from quote to order, payment and shipping, in one place.
Why it was hard
Several lists and a raw material whose cost moves, without losing the history of what was already sold. The price calculation has evolved with the business over the years.
The signal
Since 2023 it has served the business every day, and keeps evolving with new requirements.

Insurance · Unify your operations and your channels

Challenge solved: Intermediaries

Affinity insurance sold by business partners

Who they are
An insurer that sells through business partners.
The problem
Each partner has its own agreement, plans and billing, and its insured members arrive in batches.
What changed
A platform where each partner operates under its own agreement; partners declare their insured members in batches, each with their own certificate, and operations identify the conditions that apply to each policy and each claim according to that partner's agreement.

Every agent gets paid the right amount, on time and with their invoice

Who they are
An insurer with a large network of agents.
The problem
Commissions and bonuses calculated by hand, with disputes and late invoices.

A commissions and bonuses engine with the insurer's rules, integrated with the invoicing of each settlement.
The signal
It ran continuously for years and was later installed in another industry.
Case

Insurance

Challenge solved: Compliance

How much your portfolio could lose in an earthquake, before it strikes

Who they are
An insurer with a portfolio exposed to earthquake and hurricane.
The problem
It needed to estimate its earthquake and hurricane exposure for its regulatory and reinsurance processes.
What changed
A process that consolidates the exposure of the entire portfolio and estimates the probable maximum loss, separating what the insurer retains from what it cedes.
The signal
Operated for more than a decade.
Case

Insurance · Modernize the core without slowing the business

Challenge solved: Integration of core systems

From the policy system to the accounting ERP, without a pause

Who they are
An insurer replacing its financial ERP.
The problem
Operations could not stop while the ERP was changing.
What changed
A middleware that kept operations feeding the ERP —accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, payments and exchange rates— with the ERP's confirmation for every transfer. Integration and APIs
The signal
It sustained operations throughout the entire ERP replacement.
Case

Insurance · Unify your operations and your channels

Challenge solved: Collections

Premium collection and reconciliation across channels

Who they are
An insurer that collects premiums through several channels.
The problem
The premium at issuance and the following installments were collected through different paths, without reconciling.
What changed
Online collection of the premium and the installments, with services so partners can collect from their own channels and every batch reconciled against the payment provider.
The signal
Every batch reconciled against the payment provider, and discrepancies managed.
Case

Insurance · Unify your operations and your channels

Challenge solved: Integration of core systems

Two core systems that stop capturing the same data twice

Who they are
an insurer that operates with two core systems.
The problem
whatever was recorded in one had to be recorded again in the other.
What changed
the two systems are kept in sync through the insurer's own integration bus, and each piece of data is captured only once.
The signal
no double data entry between the two core systems.
Case

Insurance · Digital channels your customers actually use

Challenge solved: Sales and quotation

Online quoting and issuing tools, also without a connection

Who they are
an insurance company with a network of agents and a banking channel.
What changed
online quoting and issuing tools were made available to the agent network and the banking channel, including quoting tools that the salesperson uses on their own device without a connection, for auto, life, individual major medical expenses, personal accident, aviation and insurance for mid-sized businesses.
The signal
the sales network has online quoting and issuing tools, including quoting tools used on the salesperson's own device without a connection.
Case

Insurance · Digital channels your customers actually use

Challenge solved: Sales and quotation

Simulating the customer's savings and showing them their funds

Who they are
an insurer with savings and investment plans.
What changed
simulators were put in place for savings plans for retirement, children's education and wealth investment, with investment portfolios in several currencies and the tax benefit of each plan; and the portal where the policyholder looks up the account statement of their funds.
The signal
the plans are simulated with portfolios in several currencies and with the tax benefit of each plan, and the policyholder looks up the account statement of their funds in a portal.
Case

Insurance · Digital channels your customers actually use

Challenge solved: Intermediaries

The whole cycle in the intermediary's hands

Who they are
an insurer with agents and brokers.
The problem
the agent depended on an office of the insurer to process applications, look up their policies, renew and reinstate cancelled ones.
What changed
the agent or broker quotes, manages the application through to issuance, looks up the policies in their portfolio in their portal and handles their renewals and the reinstatement of cancelled policies, without depending on an office of the insurer.
The signal
from their portal, the intermediary handles the quotation, the application, the lookup of their portfolio, renewals and the reinstatement of cancelled policies.
Case

Banking & fintech · Control who has access

Challenge solved: Digital onboarding

New customers without setting foot in a branch

Who they are
A bank.
The problem
Opening an account required going to a branch.
What changed
Digital onboarding: ID reading, face comparison, one-time code and an online check against the official identity registry.
Case

Banking & fintech · Unify your operations and your channels

Challenge solved: Integration of core systems

Foreign exchange and remittances at the price agreed on the spot

Who they are
A foreign exchange and remittance company.
The problem
It sold from its CRM and bought currency separately; its margin was the difference, and it got lost between two systems.
What changed
A middleware that carried each transaction between the CRM and the currency-purchasing system, with the live exchange rate to lock in the price at the time of sale.
The signal
Sales were agreed at the exchange rate of the moment, not at one entered by hand.
Case

Banking & fintech

Challenge solved: Compliance

A financial company becoming a bank

Who they are
A financial institution facing certification by the banking regulator.
The problem

What changed
Audit and verification of its core system and its anti-money-laundering system, with support during the regulator's visits.
The signal
The regulator accredited it, and the support continued for another year.
Case

Regulated companies

Challenge solved: Compliance

Environmental compliance, complete or by module

Who they are
A regulated operation with many sites.
The problem
Permits and obligations in spreadsheets; a missed deadline was discovered with the fine.
What changed
A register of sites and permits, tracking of each obligation with an owner and a date, alerts before it expires, follow-up reports to prepare what is submitted to the authority, and a traffic-light view for management.
Case

Who they are
A business group with several legal entities.
The problem

Case

Regulated companies · Unify your operations and your channels

Challenge solved: Approval workflows

Product design approval by workflow

Who they are
a manufacturer.
What changed
a workflow was put in place with which the manufacturer reviews and authorizes the design of each product before producing it, with an owner, versions and an audit trail of each approval.
The signal
each design has its owner, its versions and the audit trail of each approval before it is produced.
Case

Retail · Unify your operations and your channels

Challenge solved: Integration of core systems

Retail and omnichannel

One order, many channels and a single truth about where it stands

The problem. A multi-brand retail group sells in its stores, in its online store and on third-party marketplaces. Each channel represented the order in its own way, and the company's core system received incomplete or out-of-sequence notices. Some orders were left half-done without anyone noticing: not the customer, not the store, not the team that invoices.

Why it was hard. An order does not have two endings; it has more than a dozen: home delivery, in-store pickup, fulfilment from another store, partial or total shortage, cancellation, exchange, return with or without the product, rejected return, theft, loss and failed delivery. Each one requires a different notice to the core system, and several also require a tax document.

What we built. An omnichannel layer that sits in the middle and does three things:

  • It translates: each channel speaks differently; the layer converts every event into a single language before it reaches the core system.
  • It sets the order: the core system responds late; the layer knows which notice depends on which response and sends none until it has the data that makes it valid, instead of sending an incomplete document that silently contaminates the accounting.
  • It closes the tax loop: the same flow that moves the order triggers the invoice and, in a return, the credit note.

What sets it apart. A tool that, given an order, reconstructs its full journey and says in one sentence what is missing and who it depends on: us, the core system or the channel. When something gets stuck, within minutes it is clear who has the ball, with evidence, instead of a week of emails between teams.

How it is assured. The order outcomes (delivery, shortages, cancellation, return, theft and loss) are tested end to end against the real systems, with the core system's acknowledgment as evidence, on a business that already sold across all those channels.

For your company. If you sell through more than one channel and your core system does not always know where each order stands, the problem is not integrating more: it is knowing who has the ball.

The signal
sales sees in its CRM what operations issued in the core system.

Scenarios

Scenarios: how it would look in your company. Cases are work already done.

Scenario

Insurance · Put AI to work

A simple claim reaches the adjuster ready for a decision

How it would look at an insurer: the report of a claim can reach the claims adjuster complete and in order.

The problem you will recognize: a simple claim sits on the desk for days while someone gathers documents and checks the policy; and the policyholder, who wants to report at any hour, sends photos and documents piecemeal through several channels.

What changes: the policyholder reports through WhatsApp at any hour. Nova, the virtual assistant of Hábil AI, asks for what that policy requires and queries your policy and claims systems through a secure connection between the AI and those systems. Your desk receives the file in order. Reviewing the documents and deciding on payment remains the adjuster's job. Hábil AI

Scenario

Banking & fintech · Put AI to work

Collections answers at any hour and closes with a payment

How it would look at a bank or a fintech: when the customer replies, the reply already comes with their balance and the way to pay.

The problem you will recognize: collection agents call and send messages that go unanswered, and when the customer finally replies nobody has the balance or the way to pay at hand.

What changes: Nova answers on WhatsApp with the account data your institution authorizes to be shown, after verifying the person under its rules; Nova explains the options you authorized and sends the payment link. Agreements and anything sensitive are closed by your collection agent, with the full history.

How it starts: with a Map of a process with AI: the candidate process, the data it needs, its risks, the role of the person and how success is measured.

Scenario

Regulated companies · Put AI to work

Finance sees how much VAT is at risk, from which supplier and on which invoice

How it would look at a regulated company: Finance sees the VAT at risk invoice by invoice.

The problem you will recognize: invoices get paid whose payment complement did not arrive, and that VAT cannot be credited. Nobody knows how much it is.

What changes: through a secure connection, the AI queries electronic invoicing, the available and authorized tax information, the banks and the accounting records, cross-checks them invoice by invoice and tells Finance how much VAT is at risk and from which supplier. Finance decides what to claim; the AI does not modify anything on its own. Cuadre

Scenario

Retail · Put AI to work

The eleven-at-night question gets an answer

How it would look at a retailer: the customer who asks at night gets an answer right away.

The problem you will recognize: at eleven at night a prospect asks whether something is in stock or how long it takes to arrive; nobody answers until the next day, and by then the prospect has already asked elsewhere.

What changes: Nova answers right away with what your systems say, without offering prices, discounts or terms you have not defined, and records the context of the conversation to leave the case ready for your team to close first thing in the morning.

Scenario

Banking & fintech · Get to production fast, with no surprises

Every change ships with tests, security and an audit trail

How it would look at a bank or a fintech: a change to the customer's app or API reaches production through a defined path for checking what is needed.

The problem you will recognize: every release feels like a risk: it depends on manual steps and on the people who know them, and sometimes the first to notice a failure is your customer.

What changes: every change goes through a path to production with automated tests, a security review and an audit trail of who changed what and when, inside your institution's infrastructure. Telemetry helps identify problems in a timely way, and your Compliance team can review the audit trail. Cloud and DevSecOps

How it starts: with a Map of the path to production: the bottlenecks and risks of your move to production, and where to start.

Scenario

Insurance · Get to production fast, with no surprises

A change to the quoting tool or the agent portal does not stop issuance

How it would look at an insurer: a change to the quoting tool, the agent portal or issuance goes out reducing the risk of stopping sales.

The problem you will recognize: every change to the systems that sell and issue policies is frightening: if something fails, sales and issuance stop, and nobody has at hand what was changed.

What changes: changes go out small and traceable, with automated tests and security on each one; when something fails, you can tell what it was, and telemetry alerts you so your team can act before the problem affects your agents or your policyholders.

How it starts: with a Map of the path to production: the bottlenecks and risks of your move to production, and where to start.

Scenario

Insurance · Modernize the core without slowing the business

The policy system is renewed in stages while issuance carries on

How it would look at an insurer: the twenty-year-old policy core system is renewed while keeping issuance continuous.

The problem you will recognize: everything depends on that system —issuance, collection, commissions, claims— so nobody wants to touch it, and every change gets slower.

What changes: it is decided what stays, what changes first and with what risk, and the system is renewed in stages while the current one carries on working. Each renewed stage can be connected gradually to the ERP, the channels and the partners, and the old part is retired once it is no longer needed. Modernize the core without slowing the business

How it starts: with a Modernization map: what stays, what changes first and with what risk.
